We as adults spend a lot of time teaching our youngsters how to speak to others respectfully. Unfortunately, as we watch the political ads on TV or skim through social media, it doesn't take long to see that some adults need to set a better example of how to speak to and about others. We all need a reminder to be speaking the truth in love (TIL) at all times regardless of even our differences. We'll call it a TIL process. When speaking we should TIL / mix into it Truth and in Love. When we TIL we should attempt to remove from / rid our speech of something unwanted...what is it according to Ephesians 4:31 below?
One expert states that "Tilling is defined as turning over and then breaking up the soil. Ephesians 4:15 (NLT) Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. Ephesians 4:31 (NLT) Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior.
