Just be Held

We are a people of touch. We like to shake a hand, give a fist-bump, and even enjoy a welcoming hug every now and then. Unfortunately, this past year has kept physical touch at a distance. No matter what you’re going through today, I just wanted to remind each of you that regardless of our societal physical distancing, Jesus is still right there. He promises to never let go of you. Enjoy His warm embrace as you read the following passages and take some time to listen to a few of the songs that I provided in the links below as well.
Prayer for today, “Lord, Hold on to Me.”
He knows why you need to just be held. Give Him a big squeeze in your own way and hopefully that’ll get your day off to an amazing start.
Practicing His Presence,
Nate

Psalm 18:35 (NKJV) You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; Your right hand has held me up, Your gentleness has made me great.
Psalm 73:23 (NKJV) Nevertheless I am continually with You; You hold me by my right hand.
Psalm 94:18 (NKJV) If I say, “My foot slips,” Your mercy, O LORD, will hold me up.
Psalm 119:117 (NKJV) Hold me up, and I shall be safe, And I shall observe Your statutes continually.
Psalm 139:10 (NKJV) Even there Your hand shall lead me, And Your right hand shall hold me.
Philippians 3:12 (NKJV) Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.
Songs:
  • Hold On to Me by Lauren Daigle
  • Hold Me Fast by Shane & Shane
  • Just be Held by Casting Crowns
  • Safe in My Father's Arms by Sanctus Real
  • Safe in Your Daddy's Arms by Peter Penrose...a song from a CD I listened to when I tried to get my daughter's to sleep when they were just born.
