As a Coach and a father, I often feel like I’m repeating the same words to my kids or players. I could choose to view the person or situation as an inconvenience and or as an annoyance…irritating me. Or I could view each situation as a student who needs more learning. My continued repetition reveals my love and concern for each of them. If I didn’t love them, then I’d allow them to continue in doing life the incorrect ways, and in the long run we’d all experience certain levels of regrets.
When you come across the word “again” in the following passages, what do you think that reveals about God’s character? That He’s committed, persistent, faithful, patient, concerned, loving, and is repetitious in His approach of growing others in Himself. Can you think of any other characteristics that come to your mind as you skim over some of the following verses? Now, consider how you are with others… Are you willing to tell them something again, even if you’ve told them a hundred times already? Are you willing to do something again, even if you’ve done it for someone several times before? When you feel like you’ve done enough or said enough, what should you do per His example? Is God “again” and “still” loving you? Forgiving you? Teaching you? Showing grace to you? Etc. What is God speaking to you about concerning this word and practice of “again”? How can you focus on it and apply it to your life as you continue to grow in your walk with Him and in your relationship with others? Practicing His Presence, Nate I did my research in the NKJV and only in the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John). Don’t feel like you have to read every verse…I’m pretty sure it won’t take you long before you get the idea and get to know the heart of the One and Only True God. But feel free to read each verse if time allows. Enjoy!
