Practice Speaking the Truth in Your Heart!!!

Real Dudes,
According to Psalm 15:2 below, what kind of speech is discovered in the heart of someone who is considered to walk uprightly?
  • Psalm 15:2 (NKJV) He who walks uprightly, And works righteousness, And speaks the truth in his heart;
Looking at Proverbs 4:23, what is significant about speaking the truth in your own heart?
  • Proverbs 4:23 (NKJV) Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.
Listen, what’s in your heart is eventually going to come out. So, how should this truth, that’s springing up from the heart of those considered to be upright, be delivered?
  • Ephesians 4:15 (NLT) Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.
Practicing lies and twisted truth can be an easy habit to fall into. But rest assured, living in lies will catch up with you eventually.
  • Numbers 32:23 (CSB) But if you don’t do this, you will certainly sin against the LORD; be sure your sin will catch up with you.
Therefore, if you would like to find yourself in the category of someone who walks upright, then practice storing truth in your heart, so that when you decide to open your mouth only truth will come out, and that truth will be delivered in a loving way.
What does Acts 13:22 tell us about David?
  • (CSB) After removing him, he raised up David as their king and testified about him, ‘I have found David the son of Jesse to be a man after my own heart, who will carry out all my will.’
A man after my own heart. A man that stored up truth in his heart. A man who spoke truth. And a man that delivered truth in a loving way…just like his example, the Lord. Follow the heart of the Lord. Be men of truth and integrity. Practice it, live it out, and may others who are observing your life see Jesus in everything you say and do.
Practicing His Presence,
Nate
